All new EU regulations on the recycling and use of plastic will aim at laying the foundation for a circular economy and encourages society, citizens and companies to undertake decisive changes in that sense.

Therefore, at GWC we have made sustainability our reason for being and acting, turning it into innovation that has a perceptible consequence for the future of our society.

R&D

Agricultural film recycling
- 1992 -

Our R&D department developed a first project within the EU Life program in environmental matters to respond to the problem of the hundreds of thousands of tons of plastic waste that are generated annually in Europe as a result of agricultural activity.

 

As a result of this, our agricultural plastics recycling plant was created, turning a global problem into a solution.

100% recycled fiberglass use
- 2002 -

Through a second Life project, the only plant in the world capable of producing polypropylene compounds using 100% recycled fiberglass was designed and built, integrating the latest technology with a commitment to the environment.

Agricultural mulch film recycling
- 2020 -

Understanding the complexity of the recycling process of agricultural mulch film, we installed the world’s first recycling plant dedicated to the recycling of agricultural mulch film.
